During the home inspection, I will start by examining the exterior elements of the home adhering to the SOP from InterNACHI. I will either walk the roof or deploy my drone and do a thorough sweep of the area. I’ll also check outside systems like the A/C unit and electrical for the home. I’ll also look at drainage, driveways and sidewalks. Moving into the home I’ll continue checking systems from bottom to top. Be assured that the InterNACHI Standards of Practice are just a starting point for me. I will inspect this home as if I were buying it myself!
